FBI Agents Association (FBIAA) President Reynaldo Tariche issued the following statement on the June 12, 2016 mass shooting in Orlando, Florida:

“On behalf of the members of FBI Agents Association, we send our condolences to the families and friends of the victims of the mass shooting in Orlando.  We send our support and appreciation to the responders whose actions have helped save lives.

While the precise motivations behind this incident are still in question, the FBI is investigating it as an act of terrorism.  We stand in solidarity with our fellow FBI Agents and other law enforcement officers in Florida and across the country who are investigating this horrible act, and who are working to prevent violence and terrorism.  FBI Agents remain ever vigilant to protect all Americans from criminal and terrorist threats.”
