FBIAA President Attends 30th Anniversary Memorial of the Miami Shootout

April 11, 2016

The FBI Agents Association is honored to have been a part of the 30th anniversary remembrance of the infamous 1986 South Florida tragedy that claimed the lives of FBI Special Agents Jerry Dove and Benjamin Grogan. FBIAA President Reynaldo Tariche joined FBI Director James Comey, other current and retired agents, law enforcement officials, dignitaries, and the families of Agent Dove and Agent Grogan at the site of the 1986 standoff to lay a wreath in solemn observance of the great sacrifice these agents made 30 years ago.

The events continued at the Miami field office where Director Comey gave remarks and unveiled a three-panel memorial display in the lobby of the Benjamin P. Grogan and Jerry L. Dove Federal Building in Miramar, Florida. We are proud that this memorial display was co-funded by FBIAA and the Society of Former Special Agents of the FBI.
